Thank you so much for supporting the La Source Social Action Campaign! 80 of you courageously contributed a total of $7,110 to our IndieGoGo campaign. Thousands of others shared and promoted the campaign through Twitter, Facebook, and their blogs. We should all be proud of what we’ve accomplished. Though we didn’t reach our $15,000 IndieGoGo goal, we’re not giving up! We raised almost $7,000 at our L.A. fundraiser last September, and with what we raised through the IndieGoGo campaign, we have about $14,000 raised towards Phase I of our action campaign, and there are more donations coming in. As of now, we’re approximately $11,000 away from our Phase I goal of $25,000 which will ensure that all the key elements of our action campaign are in place when La Source premieres in 2012.
Next up our sleeves is a benefit show at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles from which 100% of the proceeds will directly benefit Generosity Water and the La Source Social Action Campaign. The show will feature comedians Nick Kroll (“I Love You Man”, “Date Night”, The League), Bobby Lee (Madtv, “Pineapple Express”), Josh Wolf, Ben Gleib and more. For more info and to buy tickets, click here. The entire La Source team will be in attendance too – drop by and say hello!
The film is on track to be finished by February! It will be passed off to award-winning composer Mateo Messina (“Juno”) in December, then be ready for color correction and sound editing in January. Once the film is complete we’ll be able to start preparing your perk packages and get them shipped out to you. We estimate that to be around April or May of 2012 before the film premieres. We’ll keep you updated and work as quickly as possible to make that happen. For those who donated at the $10 level, your posters will be mailed to you very soon. For the 6 winners of the BONUS PERKS, you’ll be notified within hours by email and will receive your bonus perk within days.
Thank you for being a part of this dream to bring clean water to people around the world. We look forward to the journey ahead and doing this together. You can continue to follow the progress of our fundraising and get updates on the film by signing up on our mailing list or following us on Facebook and Twitter.
